According to researchers, who presented their findings at a meeting of the American Chemical Society in San Diego, the participants lost about 10 percent of their body weight and 16 percent of their body fat during the 22-week study. The chlorogenic acid is believed to be the active ingredient. It can help reduce glucose absorption and stimulate fat burning. Fewer blood sugar fluctuations can result in decreased appetite.
