Studies Regarding Green Coffee Bean and Weight Loss

Chlorogenic acid, which is lost during the roasting process, reduces fat absorption in the intestine, helps manage blood sugar levels for decreased hunger and decreases fat formation.

The initial studies have been promising. One study revealed that subjects lost an average of 16 percent of their body fat and 10 percent of their overall weight in just 12 weeks. They were not asked to diet and consumed an average of 2,200 calories a day. Study participants reported no adverse results or unwanted side effects. Another smaller, shorter study revealed that participants who used green coffee bean extract lost twice as much weight as participants who were on a placebo.
